Khubaib Foundation has stepped up its flood relief in Rawalpindi, distributing cooked meals and ration packs to flood-affected families living along Nala Lai and the surrounding low-lying areas. The response is part of the Foundation’s wider disaster relief in Pakistan, which extends support to vulnerable communities whenever flooding, heavy rain, or other emergencies disrupt daily life.
The Foundation’s field staff also used the visits to check on elderly residents, women, and children, the groups most exposed during a flood emergency, so that follow-up assistance could be planned around their specific needs.
Khubaib Foundation teams timely tracked the flood situation across both twin cities, not just the areas directly along the nalah Lai. On-ground assessments help the Foundation understand which localities need food, clean water, or shelter support next, and how quickly conditions are changing.
As flooding in Rawalpindi left several neighborhoods along Nala Lai waterlogged, Khubaib Foundation’s relief teams moved quickly to reach families cut off from regular food supplies. Freshly prepared meals were distributed door to door, giving flood-affected families immediate relief from the disruption caused by rising water levels. For many households, the timely food distribution meant one less thing to worry about while they dealt with damaged homes and blocked roads.
