Two powerful earthquakes hit southern Turkiye and northern Syria on February 6th, thousands of buildings collapsed, burying families as they slept. Rescuers are racing to dig them out before they succumb to injury, thirst or the biting cold. The quake-struck parts of Syria were previously battered by a decade of war. Syria’s despot, Bashar al-Assad, is so wary of outsiders and heedless of human life that he may impede access for foreign relief agencies. Even in parts of Syria outside his control, entry relies on roads from Turkey that are now badly damaged.
Khubaib Foundation believes in sustainable rural development and transparency. Socioeconomic welfare projects executed for the poor and disaster affected people. Water scarcity is the main issue of rural areas. If we consider entire Tharparkar district of Pakistan which is facing acute water shortage owing to the lack of routine rains. Over, eighty per cent of the people in Tharparkar is dependent on rain-fed agriculture for their livelihoods, as well as on livestock. Water shortage is a major problem in the area. In Thar, dug-wells have been found to be the only sustainable source of water. Malnutrition is the cause of deaths among people over there including children, water borne diseases and lack of water is a common occurrence.
When climate disaster, natural catastrophe, or violent conflict strikes, we convert your gifts of compassion into life-saving relief that we bring directly, locally, to afflicted women and children, men and families, and elderly. We rush them wholesome, high nutrition food stores and drinkable water. We provide them protective shelter, bedding, and weather-appropriate clothing. We give them daily hygiene essentials and household necessities, including generators, stoves, heaters, and fuel. We send in and support expert medical providers to treat the wounds and illnesses of the stricken, administer first aid and urgent care, and stock field hospitals and care facilities with vital equipment, medicines, and power sources.
Ramadan is a month of giving and compassion, and one of the most important acts of charity in Islam is the payment of Zakat. Zakat is a mandatory charitable contribution that Muslims who meet certain criteria must pay every year. It is one of the five pillars of Islam and serves as a means of purifying one’s wealth and helping those in need.
During Ramadan, the blessings of our good deeds are multiplied, and giving Zakat during this month is considered especially meritorious. The money collected through Zakat is used to support those in need, including the poor, widows, orphans, and the destitute. By giving Zakat, we not only fulfill our religious obligation but also contribute to the betterment of society.
