Forty-one deserving couples were got married during a combined wedding ceremony organized by Khubaib Foundation in Haripur. The event, aimed at easing the financial burden on impoverished families, each bride receive essential household items as part of a complete dowry package.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of key national and international figures, representatives including federal minister for religious affair Sardar Muhammad Yusaf, Ex Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar, Vice Chairman of Turkish welfare organization IHH with representative and Cahiz Vakfi representatives. Senior officials from the District Administration, local notables, and relatives of the newly wedded couples were also in attendance. The event, held at the Khubaib Foundation Haripur Campus, hosted over 2,000 guests who were served high-quality meals.
The 41 couples starting their new lives were presented with a valuable bridal gift package consisting of essential household goods, along with a dowry worth over 4 lakh Pakistani Rupees. The dowry arrangements were a collaborative effort by Khubaib Foundation, IHH, and the Çeyiz Vakfı.
While addressing, Chairman Khubaib Foundation Mr. Nadeem Ahmad Khan, stated that Khubaib Foundation has been arranging the dignified Nikkah of orphaned and deserving girls for the past 25 years, and we will continue to organize such events in the future,” he said. This initiative is undertaken to seek the pleasure of Allah Almighty, he added. He expressed gratitude to all contributors, particularly the guests from Turkey, emphasizing that assisting in the noble Sunnah of Nikah is a commendable act.
The newly married couples appreciated the effort, stressing the need to promote the culture of mass weddings across the country due to rising inflation. They highlighted that poverty often causes delays in the marriages of many girls.
The families of the couples echoed these sentiments, calling the mass wedding ceremony by the Khubaib Foundation and its partners a commendable step that allows deserving couples to begin their new journey. They asserted that relieving the financial strain on poor families through collective weddings is a great humanitarian service.
