Khubaib School and College Rara was established in 2008. It plays a vital role in the provision of quality education till grade twelve to the earthquake affectees in rural areas out-skirting capital city Muzaffarabad, AJK. This institution also offers free boarding and lodging facilities to orphans and deserving boys. Besides orphans, the institution serves the local day scholar boys and girls as well. With a focus on holistic education, Khubaib School and College Rara is striving to inculcate spiritual, academic and physical excellences in its students. Alongside other sports facilities, the institution has its own state of the art taekwondo club. Khubaib Foundation offers fully sponsored opportunities for higher educational programmes to its orphans at Islamabad and Haripur.
The College campus is located in a two storied earthquake proof building that houses the academic setup for the middle and senior classes as well as administration offices. It comprises of Principal's office, modern computer laboratory, three science laboratories, one library and spacious classrooms are the part of the campus.
Earthquake Proof and Centrally heated hostel building accommodates 110 boarder students. In addition to the academics these boarder students are trained to lead a disciplined life.
The mess facility is available for the boarder students where healthy and hygienically prepared food is served. College provides canteen facilities to students with different range of food items in accordance with the prescribed health regulations.
The college has playgrounds to hold cricket, hockey, football, volleyball and basketball matches. The school also provides free of cost sports gear to it's students for interschool sports for almost all games.
The college has a well-equipped computer laboratory where the students are trained as part of their academic and co-curricular activities. The college also has three spacious laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology that are equipped with modern apparatus and adequate stock of chemicals, charts and models.
College has a state-of-the-art library located in the campus on wide ranging topics. It has literature of different languages, Sciences, Religion, Sports, Classics, Travelogues, Biographies etc. Focus is maintained to nourish the minds of students with the intellect and knowledge.
