As part of an act of generosity and eco-awareness, S&P Global staff recently visited Khubaib School & College, Haripur, where they engaged in inspirational interactions with orphaned children and provided hygiene kits and stationery. Khubaib Foundation organized this visit. Apart from putting smiles on the faces of the students, this act also created hope, fostered morale, and revived the importance of community outreach and corporate social responsibility. The event, hosted in collaboration with S&P Global, was to provide a practical impact on the lives of the children and the surrounding community. The S&P Global members donated hygiene kits, school kits, and personal care products, which will provide support to the education and welfare of the children. The children were overjoyed to receive the kind donations, consisting of books, stationery, and supplies to enable them to survive and flourish in their academic setting.
“We would also want to express our gratitude to S&P Global for their generous act,” said one spokesperson for Khubaib Foundation. “Not only did this program provide our children with learning materials, it also made them feel that they have people who believe in their future and who would want to help them.”
In addition to spreading joy, the visit saw S&P Global and Khubaib Foundation join in an auspicious eco cause during this visit. The organizations organized a seed ball-making event, bringing out volunteers and both organizations’ team members in support of Pakistan’s mission to promote sustainability. The event entailed crafting seed balls – small, dense balls made of soil, compost, and seeds – and disseminating these in barren and denuded spots to aid in nurturing trees and flora.
During this visit, one S&P Global representative shared his views about his visit and said, “All of us believe supporting orphan education, we believe they deserve all support to be able to achieve their dreams, and also we should give back to our country by supporting Khubaib Foundation Green Pakistan initiatives. Another member contributed, “We’re glad to collaborate with Khubaib Foundation, and we will continue supporting all the humanitarian endeavors and initiatives of Khubaib Foundation.”
In pursuance of this joint initiative, Khubaib Foundation and S&P Global intend to restore greens, preserve biodiversity, and instill an understanding of sustainable practices among local stakeholders. The seed ball program was one such engaging and experiential process wherein participants could directly interact with nature and comprehend how essential it was to keep the environment intact.
Through combining education, community outreach, and environmental conservation, Khubaib Foundation and S&P Global’s collaboration represents best practices in corporate social responsibility and social fulfillment. The foundation continues to work in the best interest of orphaned children while at the same time helping to create a more sustainable future for Pakistan.
