ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Hussain Anjum secured a bronze medal in the Senior Men’s Under-68kg category at the Heroes Cup International Taekwondo Championship in Thailand.
Hussain opened his campaign with a win over an Indian opponent before defeating Thailand’s representative in the quarter-finals to advance to the semi-finals. He was beaten by a competitor from Chinese Taipei in the last-four stage, finishing with the bronze medal.
The result comes less than a month after Anjum claimed the gold medal in the Senior Men’s Under-68kg category at the Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship 2026 in South Korea.
Hussain is associated with Khubaib Foundation Pakistan, where he receives training under the foundation’s taekwondo program.
Members of Pakistan’s taekwondo community congratulated the athlete on his latest international success and expressed hope that he would continue to perform strongly in upcoming competitions.
